ਗਿਆਨ ਖੰਡ ਵਿਚ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਨੱੁਖ ਦੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ) ਗਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
In the realm of wisdom, spiritual wisdom reigns supreme.
ਇਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਭ ਰਾਗਾਂ, ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Sound-current of the Naad vibrates there, amidst the sounds and the sights of bliss.
ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਭਵਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ,
The devotees of many worlds dwell there.
ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਮੌਜੂਦ) ਹੈ ।
They celebrate; their minds are imbued with the True Lord.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ) ਕਰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਖਿੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਹੈ
The Gurmukhs do good deeds and blossom forth; balanced and detached in the Lord, they are in ecstasy.
ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
Night and day, they perform devotional worship, day and night; subduing their ego, they are carefree.
ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
By great good fortune, I found the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation; I have found the Lord, with intuitive ease and ecstasy. ||2||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਹੀ ਜਤ ਸਤ ਤਪ (ਦਾ ਮੂਲ) ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਦਾ) ਸਰੀਰ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
Abstinence, truthfulness and self-discipline are obtained, and the body is purified; the Lord, Har, Har, comes to dwell within the mind.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
Such a person remains blissful forever, day and night. Meeting the Beloved, peace is found. ||3||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਨਾਮ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੱੁਖਾਂ (ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ) ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੰੂ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਸੁੱਖ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ
Those who have the Support of the True Name are in ecstasy and peace forever.
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they obtain the True One, the Destroyer of pain.
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹੁ । (ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ
O mind, sing His Glorious Praises, and be in ecstasy forever.
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਜੀਵ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Through the True Word of His Bani, the Lord is obtained, and one remains immersed in the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
Joining with the humble Saints of the Lord, my actions bring prosperity, and I have obtained the Lord of Bliss as my Husband.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜੰਞ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਨ ।੩।
The Lord is the Truest of the True, O my father. Joining with the humble servants of the Lord, the marriage party has been embellished. ||3||
(ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਜਨ ਦਾ) ਅਨੰਦ (ਭੀ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਅਡੋਲ ਟਿਕਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ
The Lord bestows bliss upon His devotees, and gives them a seat in the eternal home.
(ਪਰ) ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਡੋਲ-ਚਿੱਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇਂਦਾ, ਚੁਣ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਘੋਰ ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੇੈ
He does not give the sinners any stability or place of rest; He consigns them to the depths of hell.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ) ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜਾ ਵੱਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
The Unstruck Melody resounds and resonates in peaceful ease.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਤੇ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ
I rejoice in the eternal bliss of the Word of the Shabad.
ਸੇਵਕ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵਣਜਦੇ ਹਨ
Twenty-four hours a day, they deal in the Name of the Lord.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! ਸੇਵਕ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ (ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਦਾ) ਉਸ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ।੪।੩੬।੪੩।
In peace and pleasure, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. O Nanak, God is permeating everywhere. ||4||36||43||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਡਰ-ਅਦਬ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਹ (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
in the Fear of the Guru; you shall become radiant, and the filth of egotism shall depart.
ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਭੀ ਹਨ, ਤੇ) ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ (ਭੀ) ਹਨ ।੨।
Remain in bliss forever, and perform devotional worship, day and night. Hear and sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord Gobind. ||2||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they are adorned with the Naam.
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਾਰ ਉਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
They are forever in bliss, day and night; chanting the Glorious Praises of the Lord, they merge with the Lord of Glory. ||1||
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਸੋਭਾ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The Gurmukhs sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and obtain honor.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੫।
They remain in bliss forever, day and night. The Gurmukhs practice the Word of the Shabad. ||5||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਜਵਾਨ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Within the home of the self is the Eternally Young Beloved.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
The Giver of peace is eternally blissful. Through the Guru's Teachings, we are absorbed in intuitive peace. ||2||
ਚੇਤ ਵਿਚ (ਬਸੰਤ ਰੁੱਤ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਖਿੜੀ ਫੁਲਵਾੜੀ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰੀਏ (ਤਾਂ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਬਹੁਤ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।
In the month of Chayt, by meditating on the Lord of the Universe, a deep and profound joy arises.
ਪਰ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Meeting with the humble Saints, the Lord is found, as we chant His Name with our tongues.
(ਸਿਆਲੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਦੀ ਕਰੜੀ ਸਰਦੀ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਬਹਾਰ ਫਿਰਨ ਤੇ ਫੱਗਣ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੋਕ ਹੋਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਨਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ) ਫੱਗਣ ਵਿਚ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੱਜਣ-ਹਰੀ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ,
In the month of Phalgun, bliss comes to those, unto whom the Lord, the Friend, has been revealed.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਿਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
The Saints, the Lord's helpers, in their mercy, have united me with Him.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਸਦਾ) ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ।
Eternal celestial bliss comes through the Guru's Teachings, by meditating continually on the Lord, Har, Har.
। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੱਜਣ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
I have obtained the Lord God as my Best Friend, within the home of my own self. I sing the Songs of Joy.
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ,
Meeting Him, the mind is filled with bliss. He is called the True Guru.
ਮਨ ਦੀ ਡਾਵਾਂ ਡੋਲ ਹਾਲਤ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਏ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
Double-mindedness departs, and the supreme status of the Lord is obtained. ||1||
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ) ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਹੀ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ।
Deep within myself, I would love to see the Lord; the Guru has inspired me to see Him within my heart.
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਹੁਣ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇਵਜ਼ ਵਿਚ) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
Within my mind, intuitive peace and bliss have arisen; I have sold myself to the Guru. ||3||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ) ਦੁੱਖ ਰੋਗ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ (ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਵਿਆਪਦਾ) ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Pain, disease and sorrow come when one forgets the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਵੀਏ ਤਦੋਂ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
Eternal bliss comes when one sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਸਦਾ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ
The Lord's Holy Saints abide in celestial bliss.
(ਸਦਾ) ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ) ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
They remain obedient to the Lord, the Sovereign Lord King. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
Peace, celestial bliss, pleasures and the greatest ecstasy are obtained;
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ
chanting and meditating, you shall live in supreme bliss. ||2||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਬਿਪਤਾ (ਸਦਾ) ਉਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਵਾਪਰੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ) ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ
Misfortune occurs where the Lord is not remembered in meditation.
ਜਿਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਥੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਹਨ ।੧।
There are millions of joys where the Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung. ||1||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਵਿਆਂ,
Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the mind becomes blissful.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, supreme bliss is obtained. ||1||
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
I have meditated on the Name of the Lord, and all my sufferings have been erased.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ।੬।
I am in constant bliss, lovingly attuned to the Lord's Name. ||6||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੰੁਦਾ ਹੈ
Bliss comes naturally to their minds.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ।੫।
They meet the Lord, the Embodiment of Supreme Bliss. ||5||
(ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹ (ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ-) ਥਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਭੀ ਹੈ,
Through the Praises of the Lord, devotional worship, spiritual wisdom and the essence of reality,
ਜਿਥੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ-ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ,
eternal bliss and the imperishable true place are obtained.
ਉਥੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਉਥੇ ਸਦਾ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਅਖਾੜੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
There is eternal bliss, and the unstruck celestial music there.
ਉਥੇ ਭਗਤ-ਜਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ।੭।
The devotees dwell there, with the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises as their support. ||7||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਦੀ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ,
She remains forever in bliss, day and night; she remains immersed in His Love, night and day.
ਆਤਮਕ ਅੋਡਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਹਨ ।੪।੩।
O Nanak, that soul-bride who obtains the nine treasures, intuitively obtains her Husband Lord. ||4||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਂਭੇ) ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ (ਤੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ) ਦੁਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹੋ ।੧।
Chanting it, the mind is filled with bliss; love of duality is eliminated, and pain, distress and desires are quenched. O Nanak, immerse yourself in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਅਭਾਵ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Quieting the ego, ecstasy is obtained. Where the ego does not exist, God Himself is there.
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
The pain of birth and death is removed, by the power of the Society of the Saints.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਗਿਆਨੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਚੇ ਸੁਖ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ,
In the mind of the God-conscious being, there is supreme bliss.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਰੂਪ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਖਿੜਾਓ ਹੈ ।
In the home of the God-conscious being, there is everlasting bliss.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੈ,
As is joy, so is sorrow to him.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਓਥੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
He is in eternal bliss, and is not separated from God.
ਸਤਸੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਇਹ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਅਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਹੁ ।
Join the Company of the Holy, and be happy.
ਪਰਮ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰੋ,
Sing the Glories of God, the embodiment of supreme bliss.
ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ-ਰੂਪ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਝੋਰਾ, ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤੇ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਸਭ ਮੁਕਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
Then, they drink in the Nectar, the Word of the Guru's Shabad; all burning, anxiety, and doubts are eliminated.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੱੁਖ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
They remain in ecstasy forever, day and night; O servant Nanak, they sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, night and day. ||1||
ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਆਖ—(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
Says Kabeer, my mind is filled with bliss;
ਮੇਰਾ ਭੁਲੇਖਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖ (ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਟਿਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।੩।੨੦।
my doubts have been eliminated, and I am in ecstasy. ||3||20||
(ਇਸ ਉੱਦਮ ਨਾਲ) ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ;
On the tenth day of the lunar cycle, there is ecstasy in all directions.
ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Doubt is dispelled, and the Lord of the Universe is met.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਬੁੱਧਿ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ
Make your intellect your instrument, and love your tambourine;
(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਜਣ ਨਾਲ, ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਬੁੱਧਿ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
thus bliss and lasting pleasure shall be produced in your mind.
(ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਲਿਆ) ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ,
In the Lord's Praise and adoration is intuitive peace, poise and bliss.
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The Love of the Lord God is one's family and friends.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ, ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰ ।
O my mind, chant the Lord's Name, and meditate on Him forever.
(ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਚਾਉ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜਿਸ ਫਲ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਫਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
You shall always be in ecstasy, day and night, and you shall obtain the fruits of your desires. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਲੋਂ) ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ
One who dies in the Word of the Shabad, finds eternal bliss.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
He is united with the True Guru, the Guru, the Lord God.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
Chanting and meditating on the Naam, my mind becomes blissful.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
The True Guru has implanted the True Name of the True Lord within me; I sing His Glorious Praises, and taste the supreme ecstasy. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਡਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।
I am in ecstasy, contemplating the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
(ਹੇ ਲੋਕੋ!) ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਜੀਵ-) ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ, ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੇੈ ਉਹ (ਜੀਵ-) ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਜੇਹੜੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-) ਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ-ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ।੩।
Imbued with my Beloved Husband Lord, I am the blessed, happy soul-bride. ||3||
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆਂ) ਬੜਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਿਸਚਿੰਤਤਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
Now, I am totally blissful, carefree and at ease.
ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਕੋਈ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ, ਕੋਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ), (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਅੰਤਰ ਆਤਮੇ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
The enemies and evil-doers have perished, and I have obtained peace. ||1||Pause||
(ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ) ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।
I have earned the profit, and I am happy.
ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਲਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ
Blessed is the Banker, the Perfect Bestower.
ਮੇਰੇ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੇ) ਵੇਹੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਭਾ ਦਾ ਚੰਦ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ।
Within the courtyard of my heart, the glory of the moon shines.
ਮੈਂ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ) ਨਾਲ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ ।੨।
Night and day, I have fun with my Beloved. ||2||
(ਹੇ ਮਾਂ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ।
Pain and disease have left my body, and my mind has become pure; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ । ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਟਕਦਾ ।੧।
I am in bliss, meeting with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and now, my mind does not go wandering. ||1||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ) ਜੇਹੜਾ ਨਿਯਮ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਹ ਨਿਯਮ (ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ) ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਭਗਤ) ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਤਾਂ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
Nanak proclaims and announces what happens at the Door of the Transcendent Lord.
(ਪਰ) ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ) ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।੧੦।
The humble devotees of the Lord are forever in bliss; singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, they blossom forth. ||2||10||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਦੇ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Intoxicated with the Lord's sublime essence, the mind is forever in ecstasy.
ਪਰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਆ ਦਬਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।੧।
Other essences bring only anxiety. ||1||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕਰਾਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ
He is the Creator, the Cause of causes, the Searcher of hearts.
(ਇਤਨੇ ਖਲਜਗਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੰੁਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ) ਮੈਂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੧੩।੬੪।
Nanak's Lord and Master celebrates in bliss. ||4||13||64||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੰੁਦੀ ਹੈ
My mind thirsts for Your Vision;
ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਵੈਰਾਗਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
in peaceful ease and bliss, I dwell in detachment. ||3||
(ਸਾਡੇ ਅਸਲੇ) ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਦੀ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ।
He has no impurities, so I have no impurities.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਹੀ ਰਹੀਏ ।੨।
He is in ecstasy, so I am always happy. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
Now, my mind is filled with bliss;
(ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਮੁਸਾਹਬਾਂ ਦਾ) ਡਰ-ਭਉ ਲਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਾਹੇ ਟੁਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ ।
my fear is gone, and the noose is cut away.
ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਰਤੀ ਹੈ,
His Aartee, his lamp-lit worship service, is the Kirtan of His Praises, which brings lasting bliss.
ਉਸ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਤੇ ਸੰੁਦਰ (ਹਰਿ-ਸਾਲਗਿਰਾਮ) ਦੀ ਸਦਾ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ।੩।
His Greatness is so beautiful, and ever limitless. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ) ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ
My Blissful Lord Master is forever in bliss; meditate continually and forever, on the Lord, the treasure of excellence.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਸ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
I am a sacrifice to the Beloved Saints; by their kind favor, God comes to dwell in the mind. ||Pause||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਿਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਦਸੀਂ ਮਹੀਨੀਂ ਪੱੁਤਰ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ
In the tenth month, by the Lord's Order, the baby has been born.
(ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਗ਼ਮ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ;
Sorrow is dispelled, and great joy has ensued.
(ਤਿਵੇਂ ਜੇਹੜੀ ਸਤ-ਸੰਗਣ) ਸਹੇਲੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਗਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹ
The companions blissfully sing the songs of the Guru's Bani.
(ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ-ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੋਤੀ ਹੈ ਹੀਰਾ ਹੈ ।
You are Carefree, the Embodiment of Bliss. Your Name is a gem, a jewel.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ (ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ) ਤੂੰ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ (ਬਣਦਾ) ਹੈਂ ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ ।੨।
One who has You as her Master, is satisfied, satiated and happy forever. ||2||
(ਗੁਰੂ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ
When the Lord showers His Mercy, we enjoy celestial bliss.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੭।
Imbued with the Naam, love the True Lord forever. ||7||
ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
I have met my Beloved, the Ocean of Peace, and Supreme Bliss has welled up within me.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ—ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੜਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
Says Nanak, all my pains have been eradicated, meeting with God, the Lord of Supreme Bliss. ||8||1||2||
ਉਹ ਵੇਲਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ (ਤੇ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ;
Blessed is that time, when I met the True Guru, and my Husband Lord came into my consciousness.
ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੜਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨੇ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕੀਤਾ ।
I became so very blissful, and my mind and body found such a natural peace.
(ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
He remains in continual ecstasy, day and night, and is spontaneously absorbed into the Naam.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਪਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਦਾ ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਹੈਂ । ਤੇਰੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਰਲਾ ਬੰਨਾ (ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ) ਲੱਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ।੨।
You, O Lord, O Primal Being, are the Limitless Creator; Your limits cannot be found. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਮਮਤਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਮੌਤ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ।
I am stuck in the filth of doubt and egotistical actions, and I try not to think of death.
ਮੈਂ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਚੋਜ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੌਜ-ਮੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ (ਗ਼ਰਕ ਹਾਂ), ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਚੰਬੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ।
In ignorance, I cling to the pleasures of woman and the joys of Maya.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਭੀ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ।
Beholding the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, desires are fulfilled; all one's family and relatives are saved.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਰਾਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਦਿਨ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੬।੯।
Day and night, he is in bliss, night and day, remembering the Lord in meditation, O Nanak. ||4||6||9||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਵਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ।
O Nanak, the hunger of the devotees is to praise You; the True Name is their only support.
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਅਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਣਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
They live in eternal bliss, day and night; they are the dust of the feet of the virtuous. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਧਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉੱਧਰ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ
Wherever I go, the Lord is there.
(ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਬੜੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਚੋਜ ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
He continually plays in supreme bliss. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
O my mind, chant the Name of God.
(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਖ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ, ਅਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸੁੱਚਾ ਰੱਖ ਸਕੇ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
You shall be blessed with peace, poise and pleasure, and you shall find the immaculate place. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਸੌਖੇ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਇਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ (ਅੱਪੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ) ਜੋਤਿ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
There, the Divine Light and the essence of bliss are manifest, and ignorance is eliminated.
ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਟ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਫਿਰ) ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Night and day, he sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and manifests the excellence of the Lord.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ-ਰੂਪ) ਰਾਤ ਸੁਖੀ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਦੀ ਹੈ
Chanting Waaho! Waaho! the night of one's life passes in peace.
ਤੇ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ! ਸਦਾ ਮੌਜ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Chanting Waaho! Waaho! I am in eternal bliss, O my mother!
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੰੁਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
The Lord and Master Himself has become Merciful.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ । ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ-ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਪੱਲਾ ਫੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੱਚੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੰੁਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬਣੋਂ) ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
I have been emancipated, and I have become the embodiment of bliss; I am the Lord's child - He has saved me. ||Pause||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਵ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਦਾ ਇਕਾਗਰ ਚਿੱਤ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸਦਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ
The Gurmukhs serve God forever; night and day, they are steeped in the Love of the True Lord.
ਤੇ ਹੇਠ ਉਪਰ (ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ) ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸਦਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
They are in bliss forever, singing the Glorious Praises of the True Lord; in this world and in the next, they keep Him clasped to their hearts.
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Merged in the True Name of the Lord, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord; meeting my Beloved, I have found peace.
ਇਸ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
I am in constant bliss, day and night; egotism has been dispelled from within me.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਕੰਮ ਇਹੀ ਹੰੁਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ (ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਗਵਾ ਕੇ) ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ।
The Lord of bliss is his object of devotion; night and day, he sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
Attuned to the Word of the Shabad, the Lord's devotees remain ever as one, absorbed in the Lord. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜ ਲਈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੜਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬੜਾ ਰਸ ਮਾਣਿਆ ।
One who has faith in the Guru, and who is lovingly attached to God, enjoys the delights of supreme ecstasy.
ਪਰ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੩।
One who forgets God and forsakes the Guru, falls into the most horrible hell. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੜਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ।
I have found the greatest bliss, and I am at peace, by the Grace of the Saints.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ—ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਤੀਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਸਚਰਜ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ।੪।੮।੧੯।
Says Nanak, my mind is reconciled with the Lord; it is imbued with the wondrous Love of the Lord. ||4||8||19||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰ, (ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਆਨੰਦ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਸੁਖ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ।
Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord in bliss, joy and ecstasy; Guru Nanak has become kind and compassionate.
(ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਭਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ । (ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਸਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ) ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈ ।੨।੧੫।੪੩।
Shouts of cheers and congratulations ring out all over the world; the Supreme Lord God has become my Savior and Protector. ||2||15||43||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਭਾਈ)! (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਅਸੀ (ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ । ਹਰਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਹੀ ਤਾਪ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ ।
So celebrate and be happy, my beloveds - the Guru has saved Hargobind.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ । ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਹੀ) ਉਚਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ) ਸਹੀ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ (ਠੀਕ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ) ।੨।੧੮।੪੬।
Great is the glorious greatness of the Creator, O Nanak; True is the Word of His Shabad, and True is the sermon of His Teachings. ||2||18||46||
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ ।
I have found lasting peace and bliss.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ।੧।
Everywhere, the people dwell in peace. ||1||
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ।
He hugs His slaves close in His embrace, and blesses them with His Glance of Grace.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ।੨੮।
O Nanak, His devotees are forever in bliss; they have burnt away the love of duality. ||28||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਚੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
How rare is that Gurmukh who tastes the sublime essence of the Lord.
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਪਰ ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ) ਪੂਰੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
He is always in bliss, day and night; through perfect good destiny, he obtains the Name. ||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ,
Join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, O friend.
ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
You shall be happy forever, day and night; sing the Praises of the Lord, the Lord of the world-forest. ||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਗਏ
Ever since I obtained the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of the Holy, my days have been blessed and prosperous.
ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੁਖ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ।੧।
I have found lasting bliss, singing the Kirtan of the Praises of the Primal Lord, the Architect of destiny. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਛਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਹ
God is undeceiveable, impenetrable and infinite; His form is lofty and exalted.
ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੩।
Chanting and meditating on the embodiment of wonder and beauty, His humble servants are in bliss. ||3||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ-ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੰਗਲ-ਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ (ਆਨੰਦ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ; ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੀ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਜੂਦ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਰਸੀਲੀ ਹੈ ।
O Lord of supreme ecstasy and blissful form, Your Word is so beautiful, so drenched with Nectar.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਪੱਲੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਵੱਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।੭।੩੮।
With the Lord's lotus feet enshrined in his heart, Nanak has tied the Shabad, the Word of the True Guru, to the hem of his robe. ||2||7||38||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਣੇ (ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਰਸਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ (ਉੱਚੀ) ਜਾਤਿ ਹ
The Praises of the Lord are my good conduct, occupation and social class.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਵੱਡਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
Listening to the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, I am in absolute ecstasy. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I contemplate the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਫੁੱਟ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
I am in peaceful poise and bliss, day and night; the seed of my destiny has sprouted. ||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ) ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ (ਇਤਨਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
O my mother, my mind is at peace.
ਇਉਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ) ਕੋ੍ਰੜਾਂ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ; ਕੋ੍ਰੜਾਂ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
I enjoy the ecstasy of millions of princely pleasures; remembering the Lord in meditation, all pains have been dispelled. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
Imbued with the Lord's Love, the mortal enjoys the pleasure of His Love.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
He remains always blissful, day and night, and he merges into the Shabad, the Word of the Perfect Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, celestial bliss is attained, and the Lord, Har, Har, seems sweet to the mind.
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ—ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਲਾਂਵ ਹੈ । ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ) ਵਿਆਹ (ਦਾ) ਮੁੱਢ ਬੱਝਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the first round of the marriage ceremony, the marriage ceremony has begun. ||1||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਮੰਤਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ,
The Mantra of the Lord's Name, Har, Har, is deep within my mind and body.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।੪।੩।
O Nanak, eternal bliss fills the home of the Lord's devotees. ||4||3||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨ ਜਾਣੋ ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ (ਭਗਤਿ-ਵਛਲ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ) ਸੁਭਾਉ ਸਦਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
The Transcendent Lord has brought bliss to all; He has confirmed His Natural Way.
ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ-ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਭੀ) ਆਨੰਦ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
He has become Merciful to the humble, holy Saints, and all my relatives blossom forth in joy. ||1||
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਟਿਕਾਉ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ।
The Perfect Guru has blessed me with celestial Samaadhi, bliss and peace.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਣ (ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
God is always my Helper and Companion; I contemplate His Ambrosial Virtues. ||Pause||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਚਰਜ-ਰੂਪ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ,
By God's Grace, he meets the Guru; contemplating the Lord, Har, Har, he is wonderstruck.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ।੪।੮।੩੮।
He is blessed with peace, poise and bliss, O Nanak, through the perfect sound current of the Naad. ||4||8||38||
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ (ਸਦਾ) ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
You shall be blissful forever in Bilaaval, if you walk in harmony with the Will of the True Guru.
ਜੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ (ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Sitting in the Saints' Congregation, sing with love the Glorious Praises of the Lord forever.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ।
The Lord Himself is within all beings. The Lord is the friend of His devotees.
ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ) ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ) ।
Everyone is under the Lord's control; in the home of the devotees there is bliss.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Remembering the Lord in meditation, you shall find bliss and peace forever deep within, and your mind will become tranquil and cool.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਪਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤੇ, ਗੁਰੂ-ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਤਪਸ਼ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।੧।
It is like the harsh sun of Maya, with its burning heat; seeing the moon, the Guru, its heat totally vanishes. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ ।
The Lord is forever and ever the Forgiver.
ਨਾਰਾਇਣ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
The Lord blesses us with peace and bliss.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬੜਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Supreme bliss fills the minds of the Saints.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ।
The Saints meditate on the Divine Guru, the Lord God.
ਹੁਣ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਇਕ ਲਾਭ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦੀ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਬਾਉ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੀ ।
Coming does not please me, and going does not bring me pain, and so my mind is not afflicted by disease.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਥ ਮੁੱਕ ਚੁਕੀ ਹੈ, (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
I am in bliss forever, for I have found the Perfect Guru; my separation from the Lord is totally ended. ||1||
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਸਧਾਰੀਆ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਉਹ) ਨਿਰਤਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਲੋਲ ਵਿਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।
The dramatic gestures of acting are celestial bliss.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਨਿਰਤਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ।੩।
Such a dancer is not reincarnated again. ||3||
ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
All bliss comes, when one obtains the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.
(ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ) ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਸਕੀਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਗਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।੩।
I sing continuously, continually, the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||3||
(ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਦੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰਦੀ;
I am in bliss forever; I have no sorrow.
ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਕਦੇ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ।੧।
The disease of ego never afflicts me. ||1||
ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਜਪ ਕੇ
Within my heart, I meditate on the Lord, the embodiment of supreme bliss.
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ।੨।
My mind is filled with ecstasy. ||2||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ
Enjoy celestial bliss, O my Siblings of Destiny.
ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
The Perfect Guru has eradicated all anxiety. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
As the blind man is in ecstasy, when he can see again;
ਜੇ ਗੂੰਗਾ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ (ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ) ਕਈ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
and the mute, when he is able to speak and sing songs;

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ਮਾਂ! (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪੂਰਨ ਖਿੜਾਉ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ।
I am in ecstasy, O my mother, for I have found my True Guru.
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਡੋਲਣੋਂ ਹਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ); ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜ ਪਏ ਹਨ,
I have found the True Guru, with intuitive ease, and my mind vibrates with the music of bliss.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੁਸੀ ਭੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਵੋ । ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ,
The Lord dwells within the minds of those who sing the Shabad.
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਭੀ) ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ।੧।
Says Nanak, I am in ecstasy, for I have found my True Guru. ||1||
ਆਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਖ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ (ਅਸਲ) ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Bliss, bliss - everyone talks of bliss; bliss is known only through the Guru.
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਅਸਲ) ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ । ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Eternal bliss in known only through the Guru, when the Beloved Lord grants His Grace.
ਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਦਾ ਸੁਰਮਾ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Granting His Grace, He cuts away our sins; He blesses us with the healing ointment of spiritual wisdom.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੋਲ ਹੀ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Those who eradicate attachment from within themselves, are adorned with the Shabad, the Word of the True Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ—ਅਸਲ ਆਨੰਦ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਇਹ ਆਨੰਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।੭।
Says Nanak, this alone is bliss - bliss which is known through the Guru. ||7||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਮਨ-ਮੰਗੀਆਂ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
With her Beloved Husband Lord, she enjoys millions of melodies, pleasures and joys.
ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆਂ (ਮਾਨੋ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ) ਰਾਗਾਂ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਨੰਦ (ਮਾਣ ਲਈਦੇ ਹਨ) ।੨।
The fruits of the mind's desires are obtained, O Nanak, chanting the Lord's Name. ||2||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਤੇ ਚਾਉ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਦਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਆਪਣੀ ਯਾਦ ਦੀ ਖਿੱਚ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ), ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ) ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਆਨੰਦ (ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ) ਹੈ ।
My Beloved has summoned me with joyful caresses; my mind is filled with the bliss of the Shabad.
(ਹੇ ਪਾਂਡੇ!) ਜੋ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋਈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ, ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪਤੀ (ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ) ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ ਲਾਲੀ ਭਖ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Imbued with the Love of my Beloved, I have become Gurmukh, and carefree. ||12||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ) ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ) ਹੈ (ਰਾਮ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ) ਆਨੰਦ (ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ) ਹੈ,
Worldly affairs and wanderings cease, when the mind is filled with the bliss of the Shabad.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ—ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਮਾਣ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ । ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ,
Abandoning all pride and self-importance, I have sought the Sanctuary of the dust of the feet of the Lord's slave.
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ-ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਸੁਖ ਵੱਡਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੩।
Says Nanak, meeting with the Lord, I have become one with Him; I have found supreme bliss and peace. ||4||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸੇਵਕ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਕਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਹੁਕਮ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੋੜਿਆ ।
I have not turned my face away from my Lord and Master's Command.
ਜੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਸੇਵਕ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ; (ਜੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—) ਉੱਠ (ਉਸ-ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲ ਜਾਹ, ਤਾਂ ਸੇਵਕ) ਉਸੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲ ਦੌੜ ਪਿਆ ।੨।
He fills my household with celestial peace and bliss; if He asks me to leave, I leave at once. ||2||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ (ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Devotional worship is obtained through the Guru, the Lord of the world.
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਰੌ ਚੱਲ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ ।੧੧।
The blissful music of the unstruck sound current vibrates and resounds; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the Immaculate Lord is obtained. ||11||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਟਿਕੀ ਹੋਈ) ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Doubt is eliminated from within, and fear runs away.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਪਰ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ) ਇਹ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਭੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਆਪ ਹੀ) ਉਚਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੮।
One is in bliss forever, singing the Glorious Praises of the True Lord, and speaking the True Word of His Bani. ||8||
