ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਈਏ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਨਾਮ-) ਰਤਨ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ
When one is enjoined to serve the True Guru, He brings out this Jewel and bestows this enlightenment.
(ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਬੜੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ-ਜੋਗ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
Blessed, and most fortunate of the very fortunate, are those who come to meet the Guru. ||2||
ਅਕਾਲ-ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਹੈ । ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਇਸ ਤੀਰਥ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ
The True Guru, the Primal Being, is the Pool of Ambrosial Nectar. The very fortunate ones come to bathe in it.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀਆਂ) ਦੀ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ
The filth of many incarnations is washed away, and the Immaculate Naam is implanted within.
(ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੱਸਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ (ਇਕ ਕੀਮਤੀ) ਰਤਨ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਜੀਵ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਉੱਤੇ) ਸਰਧਾ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਚੱਖ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
The Word of the True Guru is the Jewel. One who believes in it tastes the Sublime Essence of the Lord.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮਝੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
Those who partake of the Lord's Sublime Essence, through the Guru's Love, are known as great and very fortunate. ||2||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, (ਐਸਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ) ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਲੱਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਹੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਕੀਮਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਐਸੀ ਸ਼ੈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਟੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ)
His Value cannot be estimated; He is the Vast Ocean of Excellence.
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਮਨ !) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਬੈਠ, (ਤੇ ਉਥੋਂ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ (ਦਾ ਸੌਦਾ) ਖ਼ਰੀਦ
O most fortunate ones, join the Sangat, the Blessed Congregation; purchase the True Word of the Shabad.
(ਹੇ ਮਨ !) ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ, ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ
Make the effort, and chant the Lord's Name. O very fortunate ones, earn this wealth.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਏਂਗਾ ।੧।
In the Society of the Saints, meditate in remembrance on the Lord, and wash off the filth of countless incarnations. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ (ਕੀਮਤੀ) ਪਦਾਰਥ ਮਿਲ ਗਏ (ਸਮਝੋ)
Those who go to see the Guru obtain all treasures.
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ
Those whose minds are attached to the Guru's Feet are very fortunate, O my mother.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਸਦਾ‑ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the True Name of the Lord comes to dwell in the mind.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਣ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੈ ।੪।੨੪।੯੪।
Very fortunate are those, O Nanak, whose minds are filled with this love. ||4||24||94||
(ਹੇ ਮਨ !) ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਬਣਾ (ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਕੋਈ ਸਹਮ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ
Let the Lord's Lotus Feet be your Boat, so that pain and skepticism shall not touch you.
(ਪਰ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ) ਜਿਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Meeting with the Perfect Guru, by great good fortune, meditate on God twenty-four hours a day.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, the Guru is found; embrace love for the Lord, day and night.
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਹੀ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਰਮ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ।੨।
Servant Nanak has realized God; he sings the Lord's Praises through the actions he does. ||2||
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ! ਹਰੀ (ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਜੋੜ
O my mind, embrace love for the Lord, Har, Har.
ਜਿਸ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹ
By great good fortune, the Guru is found; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, we are carried across to the other side. ||1||Pause||
ਸਭ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਤੇ ਦੁਰਜਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਆ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ
Very fortunate and blessed is that Gurmukh who chants the Naam; it shall bring all slanderers and wicked enemies to fall at his feet.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ—ਇਹ (ਸਾਧਨ) ਸਭ (ਸਾਧਨਾਂ) ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ; ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਭ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ) ਨਿਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ।੧੫।
O Nanak, worship and adore the Naam, the Greatest Name of all, before which all come and bow. ||15||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is pleasing to my mind.
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਹੀ) ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ
By great good fortune, I meditate on the Lord's Name.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਆਸਰਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ
I do not know any other than the Lord.
ਮੇਰੇ ਵਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸੱਜਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਵੇ ।੧।
If only I could have the good fortune to meet some friendly Saint; he might show me the Way to my Beloved Lord God. ||1||
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ
By great good fortune, the Lord's Congregation is found,
ਪਰ ਨਿਭਾਗੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਚੋਟਾਂ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਸਹਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ)
while the unfortunate ones wander around in doubt, enduring painful beatings.
ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
By great good fortune, the Lord has led me to meet His Saint.
ਤੇ (ਉਸ) ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ
The Perfect Guru has placed the Sublime Essence of the Lord into my mouth.
(ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ
The True Guru, the Giver, has implanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within me.
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ
By great good fortune, I have obtained the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan.
ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਭਾਲਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
The One, the Guru, who is sought by all-only a few, by great good fortune, receive His Darshan.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ (ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ
Showering His Mercy upon us, God has united us with Him.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! ਉਸ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਏ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਆਸਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ)।੪।੩੧।੩੮।
Our comings and goings have ended, and through great good fortune, O Nanak, our hopes are fulfilled. ||4||31||38||
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ !) ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ।
The Praises of the True One are obtained by great good fortune.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ ! ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਏ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ।
By Guru's Grace, the Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung.
ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ (ਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੇਖ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ।
That which is pre-ordained, cannot be erased.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਾਣੋ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
Those who meet the True Guru are very fortunate and blessed; through perfect karma, He is met. ||3||
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ) ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਲਗਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Those who are attuned to Truth are blessed with the Love of the True One.
ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਸਾਂਭ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ।
Those who praise the Lord's Name are very fortunate.
(ਦੁਖੀ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ) ਕੋਈ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ, (ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਧੁਰੋਂ ਹੀ ਲਿਖੇ ਲੇਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਧ ਆ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ।
By one's own actions, nothing can be done; destiny was pre-determined from the very beginning.
(ਹਾਂ !) ਜੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਆਪ) ਆ ਮਿਲੇ, ਤਾਂ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
By great good fortune, I meet my God, and then all pain of separation departs.
(ਹੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ !) ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।
God Himself bestows wisdom; meditate on the Name of the Lord.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, one meets the True Guru, who places the Ambrosial Nectar in the mouth.
ਉਹ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ।
- that humble servant is pleasing to my conscious mind.
(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਭਗਤ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਹੀ) ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
Those who are blessed with great good fortune obtain the dust of the feet of the humble. ||3||
(ਨਾਮ ਦੀ) ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਾ) ਰਾਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ।
The Guru, the True Guru, the Giver, has shown me the Way; my Lord God came and met me.
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ।੩।
Night and day, I am filled with bliss; by great good fortune, all of the hopes of His humble servant have been fulfilled. ||3||
(ਮੇਰਾ) ਇਹ ਅੰਞਾਣ ਮਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੰਗ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ (ਫਸ ਕੇ) ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਦੌੜ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।
This mind does not hold still, even for an instant. Distracted by all sorts of distractions, it wanders around aimlessly in the ten directions.
(ਪਰ ਹੁਣ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ) ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।੧।
I have found the Perfect Guru, through great good fortune; He has given me the Mantra of the Lord's Name, and my mind has become quiet and tranquil. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਇਕ ਰਸ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ), ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Through the Guru's Teachings, the unstruck music resounds; through the Guru's Teachings, the mind sings.
ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਸਦਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਸਦਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ । ਗੁਰੂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ) ਲਗਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
By great good fortune, I received the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan. Blessed, blessed is the Guru, who has led me to love the Lord. ||1||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਲਿੱਦਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
He has revealed the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my Lord of the Universe; all poverty and pain have departed.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
I have obtained the supreme status of the Lord, O my Lord of the Universe; by great good fortune, I am absorbed in the Naam. ||1||
ਹਰੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਅਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ।
He Himself leads us to enter His Sanctuary, O my Lord of the Universe; the Lord preserves the honor of His devotees.
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ! ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ (ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ, ਤੇ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ । ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਨੋਰਥ ਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।੪।੪।੩੦।੬੮।
By great good fortune, one joins the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, O my Lord of the Universe; O servant Nanak, through the Naam, one's affairs are resolved. ||4||4||30||68||
(ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ !) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ,
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, I have found the Sovereign Lord, my Beloved.
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪੀ ਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
O very fortunate ones, chant the Name of the Lord. ||3||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
Those who bear love for the Name of the Lord
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! ਆਖ—ਉਹ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੭।੭੬।
- says Nanak, they are blessed, and very fortunate. ||4||7||76||
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I sing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises.
ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! ਆਖ—ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ।੪।
Says Nanak, through great good fortune, I have found this. ||4||
(ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਹੋਰ ਕਿਤੇ (ਵਿਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਥਾਂਵਾਂ ਤੇ) ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ।
Do not listen to any other, and do not go anywhere else.
(ਪਰ) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ।੨।
By great good fortune, you shall find the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||2||
ਇਹ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।
This human body is so difficult to obtain; it is only obtained by great good fortune.
(ਪਰ) ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਪਦੇ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
Those who do not meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, are murderers of the soul. ||1||
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
By great good fortune, the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is obtained,
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ
by those who are lovingly absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||1||
ਗੁਰੂ-ਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, I have obtained the dust of the feet of the Saints.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।੪।੭੦।੧੩੯।
O Nanak, meeting the Guru, I have fallen in love with the Lord. ||4||70||139||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung.
ਹੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
O Supreme Lord God, as You give, so do I receive. ||1||Pause||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ !) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ (ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਇਥੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ,
Such is my love for the Lord of the Universe;
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
through perfect good destiny, I have been united with Him. ||1||Pause||
ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ।
But those who embrace love for the One Lord are very rare.
ਜਿਸ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
Those who find the Lord are very fortunate and blessed. ||1||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਈਏ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਦੇ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ।
I seek the Sanctuary of those who have not forgotten Him.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੀ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ।
By great good fortune, one meets the Lord's Saint.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ (ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨਿਬਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਜੋਗੀ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ (ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, such a Yogi is met, who cuts away the bonds of Maya.
ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ-ਦੇ-ਰੂਪ ਅਜੇਹੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ । ਨਾਨਕ ਅਜੇਹੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਪਰਸਦਾ ਹੈ ।੫।੧੧।੧੩੨।
Nanak serves and adores this wondrous person, and kisses his feet. ||5||11||132||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਇਹ (ਨਾਮ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ) ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ (ਹੈ ਕੋਈ) ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ (ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ,
Very fortunate are those who meditate on this treasure.
ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
They enshrine love for the Naam, the Name of the One Immaculate Lord.
ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Even as householders, they lovingly attune themselves to the True Lord.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੮।੩।
O Nanak, those who serve the True Guru are blessed and very fortunate. ||8||3||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The True Lord is intuitively obtained, by His Grace.
(ਪਰ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।੬।
The True Guru is obtained by the destiny of perfect good fortune. ||6||
ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
O very fortunate camel-like mind, with one Glance of Grace from the Lord, you shall be enraptured.
ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਮਾਇਆ-ਜਾਲ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਕਰਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ (ਇਸ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਨਿਕਲ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।
If the Lord Himself saves you, then you shall be saved. Dwell upon the Feet of the True Guru. ||4||
ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰੇ ਮਨ! ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ ਪੰਛੀ ਹਾਂ, ਅਕਾਲ-ਪੁਰਖ ਨੇ (ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਰੱੁਖ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਤ-ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਲਈ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ) ਉਹ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹਰੀ (ਸਾਡਾ ਜੀਵ-ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ-) ਰੁੱਖ ਹੈ ।
We are birds, O camel-like mind; the Lord, the Immortal Primal Being, is the tree.
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਜੀਵ-ਪੰਛੀਆਂ) ਨੇ ਉਹ ਆਸਰਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ।੧੦।੨।
The Gurmukhs are very fortunate - they find it. O servant Nanak, dwell upon the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||10||2||
(ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ) ਖੋਜ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ (ਜਾ) ਲੱਭਦੀ ਹਾਂ (ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਮੇਲ ਕਰਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ।
I search for traces of the Lord in the Society of the Saints; they will unite me with the All-powerful Primal Lord God.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ)—ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! (ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੱੁਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦੇਵ-ਲੋਕ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੱੁਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ।੩।
O Nanak, those humble, noble beings who meet the Lord, the Giver of peace, are very blessed, O my mother. ||3||
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ।
The Society of the Saints is obtained by great good fortune.
ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ (ਕੀਤਿਆਂ) (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Serving the Saint, one meditates on the Naam.
ਸੰਤ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ,
Service to the Holy is obtained by great good fortune.
ਸੰਤ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Kirtan of the Lord's Praise is sung.
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
The slave of the Lord's servant is so very blessed.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਇਕ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੁੜਦੀ ਹੈ ।
In the company of His servant, one becomes attached to the Love of the One.
(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪੀ ਧਨ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ,
The True Guru gives His Sikh the wealth of the Naam.
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The Sikh of the Guru is very fortunate.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਤੋਲੀਏ? ਤੂੰ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹ, ਅਥਾਹ ਤੇ ਅਤੋਲ ਹੈਂ
You are carefree, unfathomable and immeasurable; how can You be measured?
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ
Those who have met the True Guru and who meditate on You are very fortunate.
(ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਨਾਲ, ਮੇਰਾ) ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਮੈਂ ਭੀ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਵਾਂ ।
My home and wealth are totally sanctified as I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
(ਪਰ,) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਅਜੇਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
The Trader in the Lord's Name, O Nanak, is found by great good fortune. ||2||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ
How very fortunate are those who meditate on the Naam,
ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ।੩।
and ever enshrine in their minds the Lord, the Giver of merit. ||3||
(ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ!) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਸਮਝ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ।
How very fortunate are they, who are committed to the Guru's service.
ਗੁਰੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Night and day, they are engaged in devotional worship; the True Name is implanted within them.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਬੜੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੰੁਦਾ ਹੈ ।
They enjoy the sublime essence of the Lord, and remain totally detached. By great good fortune, they obtain the sublime essence of the Lord.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ ।
So very blessed and truly perfect are those, who through Guru's Instruction meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੜੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, by great good fortune, I have obtained the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼-ਕਿਸਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਸਦਾ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
By great good fortune, I obtained it, and I meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; my pains and sufferings have been taken away.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਣ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ । ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਕੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ?
Innumerable - innumerable are Your Glorious Virtues; how many of them can I sing?
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਹੋਣ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੇਰੇ (ਸੋਹਣੇ) ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।
The dust of Your feet, of Your feet, I have obtained, by great good fortune.
ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ! ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ ਨ੍ਹਾਤਿਆਂ (ਆਤਮਕ ਚੁੱਭੀ ਲਾਇਆਂ) ਕਾਂ ਭੀ (ਸਦਾ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼-ਰਹਿਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੀ) ਹੰਸ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ-ਜੋਤੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ।
The True Guru, the Speaker of Truth, is the pool of Ambrosial Nectar; bathing within it, the crow becomes a swan.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧੰਨ ਹਨ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਧੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੨।
O Nanak, blessed, blessed and very fortunate are those who, through the Guru's Teachings, with the Naam, wash away the filth of their hearts. ||4||2||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ) ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The Gurmukhs are fortunate, so very fortunate; their Support is the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਭਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
They obtain the Ambrosial Nectar of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; through the Guru's Teachings, they obtain this treasure-house of devotional worship. ||2||
ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ! ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ।
When it pleases the Lord God, he causes us to meet the Gurmukhs; the Hymns of the Guru, the True Guru, are very sweet to their minds.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
Very fortunate are the beloved Sikhs of the Guru; through the Lord, they attain the supreme state of Nirvaanaa. ||2||
(ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸੱਜਣ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਣ) ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ । (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜਿਸ ਸੱਜਣ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇ ।
One who has found the Lord God through the True Guru, has made the Lord seem so sweet to me, through the His Teachings.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਜੇਹੜਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਸ਼ਾਰ (ਭਰਪੂਰ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
My mind and body have been cooled and soothed, and totally rejuvenated; by great good fortune, I meditate on the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਤੇ ਹੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ।
Chanting Waaho! Waaho! the Gurmukhs easily obtain the Lord, after searching.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਭਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
O Nanak, very fortunate are those who reflect upon the Lord, Har, Har, within their hearts. ||2||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ, (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਮਨ-ਇੱਛਤ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
As Gurmukh, ever worship the Lord in adoration, O my soul, and you shall obtain the fruits of your heart's desires.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—) ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਈ ਰਹੁ । ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
O Nanak, hurry to the Lord's Sanctuary; O my soul, those who meditate on the Lord's Name are very fortunate. ||3||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ ਪਾਪੀ ਹਾਂ, ਵਲ-ਛਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਂ, ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਗ਼ਾ-ਫ਼ਰੇਬ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਂ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਠੱਗੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਂ ।
I am a deceitful sinner, O my soul, a cheat, and a robber of others' wealth.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਜਿਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਉਸਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ ।
But, by great good fortune, I have found the Guru, O my soul; through the Perfect Guru, I have found the way to salvation.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
One who meets the Perfect True Guru, O my soul, obtains the treasure of the Lord's wealth.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—) ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੰੁਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਸਦਾ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
By great good fortune, one joins the Company of the Holy, O my soul. O Nanak, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ
O Nanak, very fortunate are those who meditate on the Name of the Lord.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ, ਉਹ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ ।੪।੮।
By Guru's Grace, they enshrine the Name within their minds. ||4||8||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ
By great good fortune, one meets the Perfect Guru.
ਤੇ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
By Guru's Grace, one meditates on God. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਬਣੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Very fortunate is that bride, who focuses her consciousness on Him; her Lord's Love is so sweet to her.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।੩।
O Nanak, that soul-bride who is adorned with Truth, is imbued with her Lord's Love, in the state of perfect poise. ||3||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੜੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ
O my mind, those who serve their True Guru are the most fortunate beings.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ-ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਭੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਵਿਰਕਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੁੜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ (ਸਦਾ) ਪੜਤਾਲਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ
Those who conquer their minds are beings of renunciation and detachment.
ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੁੱਲ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
The value of this true trade is very great; those who are engaged in the true trade are very fortunate.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅੰਤਰ-ਆਤਮੇ ਭਗਤੀ-ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਰ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਭਗਤੀ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Inwardly and outwardly, they are imbued with devotion, and they enshrine love for the True Name.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ) ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਉਹ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ।
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, dwells within my mind; He is the Destroyer of all pain.
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ । ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸਲਾਹੁਣ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, I have obtained the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan; blessed, blessed is my True Guru.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਸੇਵਕ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ) ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ।
Those who worship in adoration the Name of the Lord, Har, Har - their pain, doubts and fears are dispelled.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ—ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ) ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
Through their loving service, those very fortunate ones, whose minds are attached to the Guru's Feet, meet Him.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਹ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
This body is so very beautiful; it chants the Name of the Lord, and it is adorned with the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸਮਝ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕਾਂਇਆਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ।੧।
By great good fortune, the body is obtained; the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is its companion; O servant Nanak, the Lord has created it. ||1||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਹੀ) ਇਸ ਔਖੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਬੇਅੰਤ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਪੈ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ।
The terrifying world-ocean is rocked by countless waves, but the Gurmukh is carried across.
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ-ਮਲਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Embarking upon the boat of the Lord, the very fortunate ones cross over; the Guru, the Boatman, carries them across through the Word of the Shabad.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਜੜ ਕੇ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਕਾਠੀ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ,
Adorned with the jewel of the Naam, one obtains the Lord of the Universe; he meets the Lord, sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and obtains all sorts of comforts.
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਾ ਲਏ), ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ।
He obtains the Word of the Guru's Shabad, and he meditates on the Name of the Lord; by great good fortune, he assumes the color of the Lord's Love.
ਜੇਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Imbued with the Lord's Love, she is intuitively absorbed in bliss; she obtains the Lord God, Har, Har.
ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਨਕ-ਦਾਸ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ—ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੀਵ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੩।
Servant Nanak, the Lord's slave, says that only the very fortunate meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||
ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਬੋਹਲ ਹੈ, ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਆ ਕੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਿਆਲੀ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ
The Guru, the True Guru, is the treasure of the Lord's Name; how very fortunate are the Sikhs who share in this treasure of virtue.
ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ, ਜੋ ਬਹਦਿਆਂ ਉਠਦਿਆਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧੧।
I am a sacrifice to those Gursikhs who, sitting and standing, meditate on the Lord's Name. ||11||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ) ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਮਿਲਾਏ ।
One who serves the True Guru is very fortunate; as the Lord so wills, he meets with the Guru.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਪੀ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਰੱਜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੩।
Drinking in the sublime essence of the Lord, His humble servants remain ever satisfied; they eradicate self-conceit from within themselves. ||3||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ ।
O my mind, joyfully chant the Name of the Lord.
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਖੱਟ ਲੈ । (ਜੇਹੜਾ) ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ) ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
Those very fortunate ones are in ecstasy night and day; through the Perfect Guru, they obtain the profit of the Lord's Name. ||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਢੂੰਢ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ (ਭਟਕਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
I have searched in the four directions, O Siblings of Destiny, but without the True Guru, there is no place at all.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
By great good fortune, I found the Guru, O Siblings of Destiny, and I meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ।
I met the True Guru, by great good fortune, and my mind has been enlightened.
। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ।੧।
No one else can equal me, because I have the loving support of my Lord and Master. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ (ਦੱਸੀ) ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਕੋ੍ਰੜਾਂ ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Millions of sins are erased by serving the humble Saints, and singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord with love.
ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਨੰਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਖ਼-ਰੂ ਹੋਵੀਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ।੨।
One finds peace in this world, and one's face is radiant in the next world, by associating with the humble Saints, through great good fortune. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪਾ ਦੇਹ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਵਿਸਰੇਂ ।
May I never forget the Lord within my heart; please, instill such understanding within my mind.
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਨਾਹ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਫਿਰ ।੨।੩।੩੧।
By great good fortune, servant Nanak has met with the Perfect Guru, and now, he will not go anywhere else. ||2||3||31||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਭਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਖੋਟੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, one obtains the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. Meeting them, evil-mindedness is eliminated.
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ (ਭੀ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ।੨।੫।੩੩।
Slave Nanak yearns for the dust of the feet of those, who have woven the Lord's Name into their hearts. ||2||5||33||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ), ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ (ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ) ।
Inwardly and outwardly, in all places and interspaces, wherever I look, He is there.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ (ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।੨।੧੧।੩੯।
Nanak has found the Guru, by great good fortune; no one else is as great as He. ||2||11||39||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ (ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਹੀ) ਰਸਤਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ) ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਪਉੜੀ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ) ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ (ਇਹ ਪਉੜੀ) ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The way of the Saints is the ladder of righteous living, found only by great good fortune.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
The sins of millions of incarnations are washed away, by focusing your consciousness on the Lord's feet. ||2||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ (ਉਹ) ਗੁਰੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ
By great good fortune, I found the True Guru,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ (ਉਹ) ਗੁਰੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ
who obliterated the path of the Messenger of Death.
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰ-ਭਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
He alone is attached in loving devotion to God,
ਪਰ ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਹੋਣ ।
who realizes his great destiny.
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਨਿਵਾਜੀ ਹੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ
But by great good fortune, they may meet the Company of the Holy; as Gurmukhs, they are reformed.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾ ।੨੩।
O Lord, please be kind and let me meet the True Guru; I am a sacrifice to the Guru. ||23||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
By great good fortune, I obtained the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of the Holy; it removes all stains of sin.
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝੀਵਾਲ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ।੩।
I have found the True Guru, the great, all-knowing King; He has shared with me the many Glorious Virtues of the Lord. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਮਨ ਟਿਕ ਗਿਆ
In the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I found the Holy, by great good fortune; my restless mind has been quieted.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਰੌ ਨਾਲ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਦਾ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ (ਪੀ ਪੀ ਕੇ) ਉਹ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
The unstruck melody ever vibrates and resounds; I have taken in the sublime essence of the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar, showering down. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
By great good fortune, one obtains the dust of the feet of the True Guru.
ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੧੬।੨੨।
Nanak is forever a sacrifice to the True Guru. ||4||16||22||
ਉਹ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਦਾ) ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਗੁਣ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਗੁਣ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The virtuous accumulate virtue, and teach others.
ਸੋ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਭੀ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੯।
Those who meet with them are so very fortunate; night and day, they chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||9||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਇਕ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਸਰ ਹੈ, ਮਾਨ-ਸਰੋਵਰ ਹੈ । ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ
The Guru is like the Mansarovar Lake; only the very fortunate beings find Him.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਹੰਸ (-ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ-ਮਾਨਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਨਾਮ (-ਮੋਤੀ) ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
The Gurmukhs, the selfless servants, seek out the Guru; the swan-souls feed there on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਘਰ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ।
By great good fortune, I searched my home, and found the treasure of the Naam.
ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ) ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਤੂੰ ਭੀ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਉਸ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ।੪।
The Perfect Guru has shown God to me; I have realized the Lord, the Supreme Soul. ||4||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸੁਹਾਗ-ਭਾਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
O Nanak, that soul bride is so very blessed, who walks in harmony with the True Guru's Will.
(ਉਂਞ ਤਾਂ) ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ) ਨੀਵੀਂ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਇਸ ਪੱਧਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡਾ ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ।੨।
I am lowly, and God is lofty and exalted. How will I ever meet Him? ||2||
ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਕਈ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ।
For some, the Creator Lord is the Support of the mind; He is obtained by great good fortune, through the Guru.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ (ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ) ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ।
The One Lord God, the Master, is in each and every heart; the Gurmukh sees the unseen.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, celestial bliss is attained, and the Lord, Har, Har, seems sweet to the mind.
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ—ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਲਾਂਵ ਹੈ । ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ) ਵਿਆਹ (ਦਾ) ਮੁੱਢ ਬੱਝਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the first round of the marriage ceremony, the marriage ceremony has begun. ||1||
ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
I have found the Immaculate Lord, and I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. I speak the Word of the Lord's Bani.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਅਕੱਥ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
By great good fortune, I have found the humble Saints, and I speak the Unspoken Speech of the Lord.
ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਰੇ ਰਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Remaining dead while yet alive, cross over the terrifying world-ocean; as Gurmukh, merge in the Naam.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ।
One obtains the Perfect Primal Lord, by great good fortune, lovingly focusing on the True Name.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਸਲਾਹੁਣ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼ । ਗੁਰੂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦੱਸ ਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।
Blessed, blessed is the Guru, the Supreme Being, who tells me of the most blessed Lord.
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
By great good fortune, servant Nanak has found the Lord; he blossoms forth in the Naam. ||1||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੱਛੀ (ਤੜਪ) ਮਰਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਤਿਵੇਂ) ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ।
Without You, I am so sad; like a fish out of water, I shall die.
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ (ਹੀ) ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ।੨।
The very fortunate ones meditate on the Lord; servant Nanak merges into the Naam. ||2||
ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਚੋਭ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਧੀਰਜ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ।
Deep within my self, I feel the pains of divine love. Beholding the Guru, my mind is comforted and consoled.
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਹੁਣ ਇਉਂ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ—) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆ ਮਿਲ—ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਦਕੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ।੪।੧।੫।
Awaken my good destiny, O God - please, come and meet me! Each and every instant, servant Nanak is a sacrifice to You. ||4||1||5||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ । ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਦਰਸਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Those who meditate on God find peace. By great good fortune, the Blessed Vision of their Darshan is obtained.
ਗਰੀਬੀ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰ, (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਸਦਾ ਸਦਕੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰ । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Be humble, and be forever a sacrifice, and your self-conceit shall be totally eradicated.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਅਜਿਹਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਪੈਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
By great good fortune, one finds such a Guru, meeting whom, the Lord God is known.
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The sins of countless lifetimes are erased, bathing continually in the dust of the feet of God's Saints.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਢੇਰ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕ) ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਵੇਦ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਉਸ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ । ਜੋਗ-ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੁੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੋਗੀ, ਜੋਗ-ਸਾਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੋਗੀ, ਸਾਰੇ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਮੁਨੀ (ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ।
The Vedas and the Simritees sing the Praises of the Creator, while the Siddhas, seekers and silent sages meditate on Him.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੧।੧੧।
Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of his Lord and Master, the treasure of mercy; by great good fortune, he sings the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||1||11||
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਹਰੀ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ ।
Meditate, O mind, on the Naam, the Name of the Lord of the Universe.
ਜਿਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਸੋ, ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਉ) ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
By great good fortune, I have found the Guru, the True Guru; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of supreme bliss. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ, ਉਹ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਨ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਗਏ । (ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਮਨ!) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
The Gurmukhs, who focus on serving the Guru, are saved; by great good fortune, they perform service.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦਾ) ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਫਾਹੀਆਂ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ।੩।
Those who meditate on the Lord obtain the fruits of their rewards, and the bonds of Maya are all broken. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਹਿਣ-ਖਲੋਣ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਖੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ।
They are said to be very fortunate, O Beloved, who who dwell in the Society of the Saints.
(ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਉੱਚੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਚਾਨਣ (ਗਿਆਨ) ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
They contemplate the Immaculate, Ambrosial Naam, and their minds are illuminated.
ਜਿਹੜਾ (ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੋਂ) ਖੁੰਝੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ) ਰਸਤਾ ਦੱਸ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
He places the one who strays back on the Path;
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
such a Guru is found by great good fortune. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ (ਹੀ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, the Perfect Guru is found.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਹੀ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
Meeting with the Holy Saints, meditate on the Name of the Lord. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
One's life become fruitful and rewarding, by great good fortune.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦੀ ਹੈ ।੨।
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, enshrine love for the Lord. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ) ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੰਗ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ । (ਜੇਹੜਾ) ਵਡ-ਭਾਗੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
I ask for everything from You, but only the very fortunate ones obtain it.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ) ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੈ (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਨਾਨਕ) ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਵਾਂ ।੪।੧੨।੪੨।
This is Nanak's prayer, O God, I live by singing Your Glorious Praises. ||4||12||42||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਹ ਜਗਤ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਇਕ ਸਮੰੁਦਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਠਾਠਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ਇਸ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
He alone crosses over this world-ocean, who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ-ਜੋਲ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ । (ਪਰ ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ) ਕੋਈ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
He dwells with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; by great good fortune, he finds the Lord. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
Those who serve the True Guru are very fortunate.
(ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਮੁਕਾ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Conquering their ego, they embrace love for the True Lord.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਸਮੇ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਭੁੱਲਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ । (ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
I shall not forget God, even for an instant; He has blessed me with everything.
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, I have met Him; as Gurmukh, I contemplate my Husband Lord.
ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।
By great good fortune, I have found the Lord, the perfect embodiment of supreme bliss.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਦਾਸਾਂ ਨੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੁੜ ਕਦੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਵਿੱਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦੀ ।੨।
Servant Nanak praises the Naam; his mind and body shall never again be shattered. ||2||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The Perfect Guru is found, by great good fortune.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ।
Serving the Guru, pain does not afflict anyone.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
By the Grace of the Saints, all the sins are taken away.
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ (ਹੀ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
By great good fortune, one finds the Sanctuary of the Saints. ||1||
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
If someone is very fortunate, and is blessed with great high destiny, then he meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he finds peace, and merges in the Naam. ||1||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
The humble servant serves; one who enshrines love for the Lord in his heart, mind and body is very fortunate.
ਪਰ ਕਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ (ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ । (ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਵੱਸ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ) ਅਜੇਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ ਝੂਠ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਝੂਠ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ।੩।
One who talks too much without love, speaks falsely, and obtains only false rewards. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਿਚ ਰਤਾ ਭੀ ਢਿੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ । ਜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪੈਣ (ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਾ ਅਵਸਰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ) ।
If I am blessed with supreme high destiny, I will meet the humble servants of the Lord, without delay.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਸ਼ਮੇ ਹਨ, ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਹਨ । ਉਸ ਚਸ਼ਮੇ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
The Lord's humble servants are pools of ambrosial nectar; by great good fortune, one bathes in them. ||1||
ਇਸ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
But one who renounces her, and joins the Society of the Saints,
ਪਰ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਠਿਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੪।੧੮।੨੯।
by great good fortune, O Nanak, is saved. ||4||18||29||
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਕਰ
O mind, take the sheltering support of the Lord's Name.
ਜਿਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਖੋਟੀ ਮਤਿ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਏਂਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Remembering Him in meditation, evil-mindedness is dispelled, and the state of Nirvaanaa is obtained. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝ ।
Know that one who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord is very fortunate.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
The sins of countless incarnations are washed off, and he attains the heavenly realm. ||1||
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਈ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੰਗਾਲ-ਮੰਗਤੇ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਤੇ ਹਨ । (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੮।
Some are made givers, and some are made beggars; He Himself inspires us to devotional worship. ||8||
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੯।
Those who know the One Lord are very fortunate; they remain absorbed in the True Lord. ||9||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ-ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ,
By great good fortune, I have found the boat - the Guru.
ਉਸ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਪੱਥਰ-ਦਿਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ ।੮।੨।
Slave Nanak has crossed over, with Him. ||8||2||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ) ਪੂਰੀ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਦੁਨੀਆਵੀ ਚੀਜ਼) ਪਿਆਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੀ ।੧੦।
The Perfect Guru has given me the perfect teachings; there is nothing except the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny. ||10||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ) ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ।੧੧।
I have obtained the treasure of the Naam, by great good fortune; O Nanak, I shall not fall into hell. ||11||
ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਓ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਆਨੰਦ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ) ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ।
Listen to the song of bliss, O most fortunate ones; all your longings shall be fulfilled.
ਪਰਮ ਆਤਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਝੌਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
