ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Creation and destruction happen through the Word of the Shabad.
(ਨਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ) ਮੁੜ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
Through the Shabad, creation happens again.
(ਉਹ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਐਸੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਉਸ ਵਿਚ (ਅੱਪੜ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਇੰਦ੍ਰਪੁਰੀ, ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂੰ-ਪੁਰੀ, ਸੂਰਜ-ਲੋਕ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰ-ਲੋਕ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਪੁਰੀ, ਸ਼ਿਵ-ਪੁਰੀ—(ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਤਾਂਘ) ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ।
There is no rainy season, ocean, sunshine or shade, no creation or destruction there.
ਨਾਹ (ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ) ਜੀਊਣ (ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ), ਨਾਹ ਮੌਤ (ਦਾ ਡਰ), ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਦੁਖ, ਨਾਹ ਸੁਖ (ਭਾਵ, ਦੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਜਾਂ ਸੁਖ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ), ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁਂਹਦਾ । ਉਹ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਟਿਕਵੀਂ ਹਾਲਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਫੁਰਨਾ ਉਠਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰ-ਤੇਰ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।੧।
No life or death, no pain or pleasure is felt there. There is only the Primal Trance of Samaadhi, and no duality. ||1||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਸਦਕਾ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ,
He creates and destroys in an instant.
(ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੰੁਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਅਛੋਹ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
He Himself remains unattached, and without attributes. ||3||
(ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ) ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ (ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹੈ, (ਸਭ ਦਾ) ਨਾਸ (ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹੈ ।
The Creator forms, and the Creator destroys.
ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹੈ, (ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ) ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹੈ ।੧।
The Creator touches, and the Creator is detached. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ (-ਰੂਪ) ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,
He created plays and dramas of all sorts;
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਫੋਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ,
He creates and destroys in an instant;
ਉਹੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਜੁਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਚਲਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ
He is the True Lord and Master, throughout the ages.
। ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ (ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।੧।
Creation and destruction do not come from anyone else. ||1||
ਧਰਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮ ਕਮਾਣ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ।
Creating the earth, He established it as the home of Dharma.
ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਆਪ ਇਸ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਪਰਲੋ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Creating and destroying, He remains unattached.
ਉਹ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਅੱਖ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਫੋਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੋ੍ਰੜਾਂ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ) ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਨਾਸ (ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ) ਹੈ ।
He creates and destroys millions, in an instant.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋ੍ਰੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਹਨ, (ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਗਿਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ।੬।
Millions are Your Virtues, Lord - they cannot even be counted. ||6||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨ ਨੂੰ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
I am unworthy, but please save me anyway. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਗਤ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੨।
Creation and destruction come only from God; this is what the Lord's humble servants believe. ||2||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ ।੩।
Only those who are imbued with God's Name are judged to be peaceful in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga. ||3||
ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਜੁਗ ਆਦਿਕ ਹਨ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਹਨ ।
Many ages, days and nights.
ਉਹ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਾਰੀ ਜਗਤ-ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
