ਜੋਗੀ (ਹੋਣ) ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ (ਹੋਣ, ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ) ਛੇ ਭੇਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਧ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ
The followers of the six different life-styles and world-views, the Yogis and the Sanyaasees have gone astray in doubt without the Guru.
ਜਦੋਂ (ਇਹ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ ੳੇੁੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਤੇ (ਸਹੀ) ਜੀਵਨ-ਜੁਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
If they serve the True Guru, they find the state of salvation; they enshrine the Dear Lord within their minds.
ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਨੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਮਲ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
The Sannyaasee smears his body with ashes;
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਾਈ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਚਰਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਿਰੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਚਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਿਗਾਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੈ, ਪਰ)
renouncing other men's women, he practices celibacy.
ਜੇ ਸਭ ਮਾਇਕ-ਆਸਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਪਰਾਮ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਮਝੋ ਇਹ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਹੈ ।
When you abandon hope and desire, then you become a true Sannyaasi.
(ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਹੰੁਦਿਆਂ) ਜੋਗੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਤ (ਕਾਇਮ) ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਜਾਣੋ ।੨।
When the Yogi practices abstinence, then he enjoys his body. ||2||
(ਕਈ ਲੋਕ) ਜੋਗੀ ਹਨ, ਜਤੀ ਹਨ, ਤਪੀ ਹਨ, ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਹਨ, ਬਹੁਤ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ,
The Yogis, celibates, penitents and Sannyaasees make pilgrimages to all the sacred places.
ਸ੍ਰੇਵੜੇ ਹਨ, ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਹਨ, ਮੋਨਧਾਰੀ ਹਨ, ਜਟਾਧਾਰੀ ਹਨ—ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
The Jains with shaven heads, the silent ones, the beggars with matted hair - in the end, they all shall die. ||1||
ਸੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ (ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ) ਸਦਾ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੀ ਸੰਥਾ ਹੀ) ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਨਾਮ ਵਲੋਂ ਖੁੰਝਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ।
In the love of duality, they read continually about sin, while the Lord has withheld His Name from them.
ਜੋਗੀ ਜੰਗਮ ਤੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਭੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ) ਖੁੰਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਕ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ‘ਤਿਆਗ’ ਦਾ ਹੀ) ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਣ ਨੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ
The Yogis, the wandering hermits and the Sannyaasees have gone astray; their egotism and arrogance have increased greatly.
ਜੇ (ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਅੰਦਰਲਾ ਮਲੀਨ (ਮਨ) ਸਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਪਰ ਬਾਹਰ (ਸਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ) ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
You have not cleansed the filth from within yourself, although outwardly, you wear the dress of a renunciate.
ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ।੧।
In the heart-lotus of your self, you have not recognized God - why have you become a Sannyaasee? ||1||
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੋਗ ਦੀ ਸਾਧਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਭੋਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਵਿਰਤ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਉਜਾੜਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ
He Himself is the Yogi, He Himself is the Sensual Enjoyer, and He Himself is the Sannyaasee, wandering through the wilderness.
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਿਆਣੀ ਮਤਿ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ
He discusses with Himself, and He teaches Himself; He Himself is discrete, graceful and wise.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਧੀਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਪਰਵਾਰ) ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਜਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਸਾਂ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਿੱਤ ਆਸਾਂ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ) ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ।
The Sannyaasi renounces his daughters and sons, but his mind still conjures up all sorts of hopes and desires.
ਪਰ, ਹਾਂ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਂਹ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
With these hopes and desires, he still does not understand, that only through the Word of the Guru's Shabad does one become free of desires, and find peace. ||3||
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਪੰਡਿਤ (ਵੇਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕ) ਪੜ੍ਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਭੀ) ਖੁੰਝਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਮੁਨੀ ਲੋਕ (ਮੋਨ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ) ਖੁੰਝਦੇ ਰਹੇ, (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੀ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ।
The Pandits, the religious scholars and the silent sages read and debate in confusion; their consciousness is centered on the love of duality.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਜੰਗਮ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਭੀ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਏ ਰਹੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੀ ਅਸਲੀ ਵਸਤ ਨਾਹ ਲੱਭੀ ।
The Yogis, wandering pilgrims and Sanyaasees are deluded; without the Guru, they do not find the essence of reality.
(ਪਰ) ਜੋਗੀ ਲੋਕ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਬਾਰਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਕਿਆਂ (ਦੀ ਵੰਡ) ਵਿਚ (ਇਸ ਅਸਲ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇ ਤੋਂ) ਭੁੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਲੋਕ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਦਸ ਫ਼ਿਰਕਿਆਂ (ਦੇ ਵਖੋ ਵੱਖ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ) ਵਿਚ ।
The Yogis wander in the twelve schools of Yoga; the Sannyaasis in six and four.
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਮਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਊਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਹਉਮੈ ਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
One who remains dead while yet alive, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, finds the door of liberation.
(ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਦੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਕਿਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਭੀ ਇਹ (ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ) ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਦੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀ ਬੜੇ ਕਵੀ ਹਾਂ, ਚੰਗੀ ਕੁਲ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਂ, ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋਗੀ ਹਾਂ,
I am a great poet, of noble heritage; I am a Pandit, a religious scholar, a Yogi and a Sannyaasi;
ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਹਾਂ, ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਗੁਣਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਸੂਰਮੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਦਾਤੇ ਹਾਂ (ਜਿਹੜੇ ਭੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਏ ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਮਾਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ) ।੨।
I am a spiritual teacher, a warrior and a giver - such thinking never ends. ||2||
ਅਸਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ (ਕੇ ਵੇਖ) ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੰਗਮ ਹੋਣ, ਜੋਧੇ ਹੋਣ, ਜਤੀ ਹੋਣ, ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਹੋਣ,
The wandering beggars, warriors, celibates and Sannyaasee hermits - through the Perfect Guru, consider this:
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਘਾਲ-ਕਮਾਈ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ । ਸੇਵਾ-ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸੇ੍ਰਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਣੀ ਹੈ ।੨।
without selfless service, no one ever receives the fruits of their rewards. Serving the Lord is the most excellent action. ||2||
ਕਿਸੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਮ-ਵਾਸਨਾ ਰੋਕਣ ਦਾ ਅੱਭਿਆਸ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਇਸੇ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
The celibate practices celibacy, but his heart is filled with pride.
(ਕੋਈ) ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ (ਹਰੇਕ) ਤੀਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਭੌਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ; ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋ੍ਰਧ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ (ਦੱਸ, ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਲੱਭਾਂ ਜੋ ਆਪ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋਵੇ) ।੨।
The Sannyaasi wanders around at sacred shrines of pilgrimage, but his mindless anger is still within him. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸਲ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਜੇਹਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਵੇ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਇਕ (ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ) ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹੇ ।
O Baba, this is the way of life of the Sannyaasi, the renunciate.
ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀਜ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, he is to enshrine love for the One Lord. Imbued with Your Name, Lord, he remains satisfied and fulfilled. ||1||Pause||
ਅਸਲ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
He alone is a Sannyaasi, who serves the True Guru, and removes his self-conceit from within.
(ਲੋਕਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕੱਪੜੇ ਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਬਣਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ, ਸਹਿਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਜੋ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਲੈ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
He does not ask for clothes or food; without asking, he accepts whatever he receives.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਚਾਹੇ ਉਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤੀ ਹੈ ਚਾਹੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਹੈ ਚਾਹੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਹੈ ।੭।
Blessed is such a householder, Sannyaasi and Yogi, who focuses his consciousness on the Lord's feet. ||7||
ਅਸਲ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਉਹ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਕ ਆਸਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਿਰਾਸ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Amidst hope, the Sannyaasi remains unmoved by hope; he remains lovingly focused on the One Lord.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੋਗੀ, ਨਾਂਗੇ, ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ (ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ) ਛੇ ਭੇਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਧੂ (ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਆਏ) । ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਪਰਸਪਰ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਵਿਚਾਰ (ਉਹ ਸਾਧੂ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਭੇਟਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗਏ ।
The Yogis, the nudists, the Sannyaasees and those of the six schools of philosophy spoke with Him, and then bowed and departed.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ) ਜੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੁਲਖੇਤ (ਕੁਰੂਖੇਤ੍ਰ) ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ । (ਉਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ) ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦਿਨ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ।੩।
When the Guru, the True Guru, first arrived at Kuruk-shaytra, it was a very auspicious time. ||3||
ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ (ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਦੇ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ;
The Sannyaasees are intoxicated in egotism.
ਤਪੀ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਸਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਪ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ।੧।
The penitents are intoxicated with the mystery of penance. ||1||
ਪਾਣੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਈ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ-ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ), ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹਨ ।
Water says, "I am good in many ways." But water takes many forms.
ਸੋ, ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਜੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਬਣਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ) ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਸਕੇ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਬਣੇ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਾਸ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਭੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅੰਨ ਕਮਾਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਭੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ) ।੨।
Forsaking these delicacies, one becomes a true Sannyaasee, a detached hermit. Nanak reflects and speaks. ||2||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝ ਕੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਫ਼ਿਰਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਾਂ ਹੀ ਫ਼ਿਰਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਖਪਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ
The Yogis are divided into twelve schools, the Sannyaasees into ten.
ਟਾਕੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੋਦੜੀ ਪਹਿਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪੁਟਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਢੂੰਢੀਏ ਜੈਨੀ ਭੀ (ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) । ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ) ਫਾਹੀ ਪਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।੧।
The Yogis and those wearing religious robes, and the Jains with their all hair plucked out - without the Word of the Shabad, the noose is around their necks. ||1||
