ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੜੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਭਾਗ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਹੈ, ਖਿੱਚ ਹੈ ।
The servants of the Lord have the greatest good fortune; they have faith in the Lord, and a longing for the Lord.
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ) ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਲੇ) ਗੁਣ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
Obtaining the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, they are satisfied; joining the Sangat, the Blessed Congregation, their virtues shine forth. ||2||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ (ਵਿਅਰਥ ਤੌਖ਼ਲੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
O my Dear Lord of souls, one who joins the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, is saved.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ (ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ) ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸੁੱਕਾ ਕਾਠ ਹਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
By Guru's Grace, the supreme status is obtained, and the dry wood blossoms forth again in lush greenery. ||1||Pause||
ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਨੂੰ ਸਤ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ?
How is the Society of the Saints to be known?
(ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਉਹ ਹੈ) ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਲਾਹਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ
There, the Name of the One Lord is chanted.
ਇਹ ਚੰਗੇ-ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਕਲ ਸਾਧ-ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, discriminating understanding is attained.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੋਹ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਹਾ ਭੀ ਸੋਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
That iron which touches the Philosopher's Stone becomes gold. ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ । ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ।
The Lord, Har, Har, abides in the Society of the Saints; joining this Sangat, the Lord's Glories are known.
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ (ਦੇ ਚਰਨ) ਛੁਹ ਕੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ (ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ) ।੩।
By great good fortune, the Society of the Saints is found. Through the Guru, the True Guru, I receive the Touch of the Lord God. ||3||
